I just recieved this message from my co-pilot friend for many years. We flew together in Vietnam and became friends. We have kept in touch with each other for over 40 years, he moving eleswhere with his family. So many of my friends have passed away and now only two remain. Life is very harsh and when you loose friends that you have known for a long time, it is even more difficult. Dear ---- You have been the foundation of my life. It's with great sadness that at this time I have to say goodbye. I want to say a huge thank you to everyone for all the love shown to me and my family. oh cosmic, I'm so sorry. Its horrible to lose a friend and its so much worse when they die horribly. He wrote a very touching heartfelt letter. You were both very lucky to have had each other through it all.
