View Full Version : Another Iran/WWII Germany parallel
Sorry for drawing attention away from important issues like the Illuminati and the evils of Israel, but a column popped up in the Toronto Sun which had an interesting perspective, although one I imagine many people here have considered themselves.

Act now to end threat of Iran
As the present leaders of the free world, particularly those from the English-speaking countries, contemplate the undisguised threat of Iran acquiring nuclear capability, they might well ponder that moment in recent history when another such group of leaders failed to do their duty.
It was 70 years ago this spring -- in March 1936 -- when Adolf Hitler sent his military into the demilitarized zone of the Rhineland in defiance of France, Britain and the League of Nations.
The German dictator deliberately set out to test the resoluteness of his main adversaries, and found it lacking...

I assume, of course, that no one has any comments on the above? :)
My opinion is that I'm not in favour of attacking Iran - but I'm less in favour of letting them get nuclear weapons or any more powerful. Smells like a parallel, or maybe like teen spirit.

The Devil Inside 04-29-06, 12:13 PM i think harsh economic sanctions are the answer to the iran situation.
war wont accomplish anything, but if the world screamed in a united voice for them to not develop nuclear weapons, they would be forced to comply.
unfortunately, the chinese have too much to lose by alienating iran like that.
Hearld Sun is a reputable paper???
Can it tell us where did Mr Ahmadinejad said that Iran is going to develope Nuclear weapons?Or is it that this paper draws false conclusions as Mr Ahmadinejad had said Iran has the right to enrich uranium,a right given to all signatories of NPT.
Hittler was a western Christian please dont insult by this comparison,Hittler was a by product of your culture not an Iranian one.
AmishRakeFight 04-29-06, 09:02 PM I'm fairly sure that when President Ahmadinejad said that Israel will be destroyed in a "single storm", he wasn't referring to Allah sending pillars of lightning down from heaven, although I have no doubt that that is one of his contingency plans. Anyway, the article definitely points out some glaring parallels between our current situation and the situation circa-1936, but I don't exactly feel comfortable comparing Ahmadinejad with Hitler, although I'm sure the 1930's Germans weren't exactly jumping at the opportunity to compare Hitler to some other history villian.

I'm not sure if the Hearld Sun is a credible source, but the Toronto Sun, who published this article, is.

Yeah, I see similarities. :)
Act now to end threat of The United States of America
As the present leaders of the free world, particularly those from the English-speaking countries, contemplate the undisguised threat of Iran acquiring nuclear capability, they might well ponder that moment in recent history when another such group of leaders failed to do their duty.
It was 3 years ago this spring -- in March 2003 -- when George W. Bush sent his military into the demilitarized zone of Iraq in defiance of France, Germany and the United Nations.
The U.S. dictator deliberately set out to test the resoluteness of his main adversaries, and found it lacking.
The No-Fly-Zone was crossed, and war that engulfed the Middle East and the world 36+ months later became unavoidable.
But could Bush have been stopped in 2003?
Project for a New American Century had spelled out their policies in 2000 that could be achieved to his satisfaction only by war. They had warned the world, but those who needed to be prudent paid no heed to them.

Toronto Sun.
Hitler was a spiritual secularist. He was not a Christian by faith. Hitler was a madman. Ahmadinejad is a madman. Hitler hated Jews. Ahmadinejad hates Jews.
As for where he's said that, you should talk to the columnist.

Sci-Phenomena 04-30-06, 11:54 AM Hitler was a madman, and yet so many banks from around the world helped make his regime possible. Now days the same thing goes for George W. Bush. Without the Federal Reserve Bank, Bush couldn't have gotton two inches into Iraqi soil.
The non-backed currency of the Federal Reserve Bank has allowed this irresponsible leader of the United States to invade Iraq. His invasion is based 100% on the American National Debt, he is digging a grave, but I hope it is HE that falls into it.
Unfortunatly the grave is big enough for the American (and alot of the world) economy to fall into it. (by means of inflation, and deaths by a war which I hope does not escalate)

heh.
indeed.
Innocence 05-11-06, 05:00 PM For me it was more than enough Ahmadinejad´s speeches.

See the text of that letter he sent? He's on crack. He probably shoots up with the Ayatollah.

TheVisitor 05-11-06, 05:33 PM The time for negotiation with Iranian leaders might be over.
What remains uncertain is whether Iran has crossed its Rubicon.
This will only be known in retrospect if the free world fails to do its duty and allows Iran to acquire nuclear weapons.
Don't give 'em the chance.
A spade is a spade.
Nuke 'em now.
