Anaplerotic reactions rationale

    and, for such anaplerotic reactionas, why are Pyruvate or PEP used as 'Starting point' , to feed the TCA cycle rather than Acetyl-CoA?

    Because pyruvate is the end product of glycolysis, which is the precursor reaction to the citric acid cycle.
