During the course of history, indeed during the course of humanity (in general) there have always been questions concerning the ultimate outcome, the ultimate goal of civilization. Up until this point no one has dared to ask the questions needed in order to solve this mystery... why did humans develop from the goo of the oceans? When did humans develop consiousness? Did we evolve on this world alone?

To answer / understand the value of asking we must first take a peek into the past, into the ancient history that our race has come to be known for....

: swirly lights and such :

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
And so it began, mankind developed from an apelike being, one that lived on land, that used tools later in its lifespan... the developing being was very much like present day man, the main differences being no knowledge of language + no consiousness. There are certain concerns here we must address, namely how could an unaware ape creature suddenly gain insight into its very existance? There is no true answer, however speaking in purely scientific terms we might gain some insight ourselves...
Monkey apeman is sitting on tree, he eats an apple, he finds a rock, he has no self-realization..... he's a robot to his evolutionary mechanisms.... then suddenly he begins to think inversely, instead of outside things being the only world his inner dialog begins. At first he uses pictures, then later grunts, then he begins to understand grunts can form... soon these lead to a grasp of universal communication.
As monkeyman develops his life, evolves, he works into a very unique place... all animals around him are without consiousness..... so what is he? I submitt to you friends that monkeyman is actually a mutation in the brain, he has mutated into a 1/100 change that exists nowhere else... thus he's the ONLY species capable of thinking, ever....
I calculate that man is possibly a mutation unique to his environment, perhaps an emergent quality only present on Earth... that means no other aliens may exist, no other life may be consious, anywhere!!!!!!!!!!
So there he is, monkeyman wants to do things, he wants to use thinking to boost his ego, thus all items in the world I suggest are egocentric, they are based on WANTING to boost ones ego, otherwise why bother?
Yes I'm afraid monkeyman is alone, and there is only a limit to how far intelligence will take humanity, after-all the mutation has already occured, now if knowledge grows exponentially then perhaps monkeyman will evolve into a new being, but until that time we can only guess....
Titan is already a candidate of life...as is Mars....and thats in an era when humans haven really gone to space beyond the moon. And ur telling us here we are alone? lol
Alone in being consious, it's a mutation unique to Earth.
nothing in this universe is the same. As for us being conscious...and us only...I don't agree. I see consciousness in other species as well. Dolphins for one thing.
Consciousness is an analog quality, not a digital one. There is no line, other than an arbitrary, subjective one, beyond which consciousness may be said to exist, while short of it, it does not exist.
Also, did you ask the questions? "Up until this point no one has dared to ask the questions needed in order to solve this mystery". If you did ask them, you buried them very skillfully in the rest of your polemic.
Finally, don't you think your opening preamble adopted a teleological posture with zero justifcation?
