Lately, I been looking for a new university overseas. All I'm looking for is something with an American accreditation for a BA in international relations at a truly international campus. This should be the easiest major to find internationally. Or so I thought. As it turns out all I've come up with is countless crappy study abroad programs, and a few campuses with courses in international business. After nearly a year of searching I don’t got sh**.
But all those countless hours did add up to something. A keen awareness of Americas newest strategy to Americanizing the world. From a map I've made of the placement of these colleges, it would appear that higher education has indeed become Americas newest weapon. The middle east has the most established string of American colleges in the world, followed by Germany France, England, and Croatia. Each one is pumping out students from the local population that have been transformed into the ideal drone for international cooperation’s. All of the uni’s have recruiting programs that pick the students right from the university and place them in their planned position, with the student having little to no choice over the matter for the job market is brilliantly arranged in such a way that that is the only feasible option. As if they where pawns in a international network of cooperate strategies. But they are no longer confined to the west, Institutions in Russia, Thailand, Malaysia, Japan, S. Korea, and China cover the east, and continue to grow rapidly largely their student bodies consist of locals or people from neighboring countries - they come from families that are well off. To them the prospect of receiving an American education is perhaps thrilling and suggest a world of countless possibilities, but in the reception of this education they are pushed into a selective market, one which only global companies or big business can afford to employ a significant or noticeable amount of them. What this does for the cooperation’s is its firstly eliminates competition, for not only are their local employees better educated, but they redirect the wealthy populaces support to the cooperation’s and leave the local ones to an increasingly cheap and underachieving populace. In time the branches of the International cooperation’s easily out do and out play the locals and dominate that countries market. And wala! They have secured another market to fuel their ever expanding empires. Africa, South America also possess similar programs. An interesting fact I noticed about all these institutions is that the programs that hire the student body are all American cooperation’s although this may not seem significant given my previous statements, in the real world many of the locals still operate under the misconception that their western educated youth is still employee by their countries cooperation’s and are bringing in foreign revenue instead of the other way around. European cooperation’s also exist globally, and this is why I say it is interesting for although there is no law or rule restraining them from the ample and ever-growing global employee market, they just seem to think that they cant to get a hold on it. While the American institutions are giving their students a helpful nudge in their intended direction.
Even their students are educated under the illusion that they will be prepared for a global position - one in which they can severe their country. While in reality they are doing just the opposite.
So basically the American education system has become more and more corrupted and commercialized. Serving as an international syndicate to recruit for global corporations. Being the highest ranking and most globally recognized system in the world all I can forecast for the future is that it will continue to expand. Until students from Sweden to China are taking advance placement courses in English Literature.
Now I know that this may not seem and altogether a bad thing. I would like to have that now, it would make my life alot easier. But I have written this to express a concern - not for globalization but rather for its application. This should be a sign that corporations are becoming far to powerful, being international they will not belong to any nation state, but be guided by no other ethics that profit. Alas a future of exploitation lies before us. What do you all think can be done to prevent, a commercially run globe. Wherein our lives will mean little more than feeble numbers on an endless chain of statistics being carefully monitored with our lives orchestrated in every aspect to maximize the margin of profit.
Oh yeah, and if any of you know of any good unis contact me!!! :P
