Article about one man's beauty comparisons. He basically says that British women are too lazy and apathetic about their appearance.
The average American "girl" he dates spends more than a thousand dollars a month on "beauty maintenance". And he wonders why they check out his credit card. I read the whole thing, simply because he was described as a screenwriter and English and I figured he was bound to have something to say eventually. An explanation for some of the screenplays I've had the misfortune to sit through is the only takeaway.
Well, Tad is a charmer. Someone should remind Tad that he is also single. After reading through is article, one can imagine why. I must admit, the comments after reading that article were the most amusing. I suspect neither women in the US or the UK will want to touch him with a 10 foot pole after this. Well, I guess he can always resort to a mail order bride.
I have seen London girls and women. They don't sweat at the gym so much, so their slim bodies have more curves (as opposed to American corners and bulging muscles that most men find intimidating). It is a pleasure to watch a British girl take a jog (London women jog regularly, yes, outdoors, in fresh air). British girls have a better sense of style. They don't have to wear god-knows-what because, unlike American women, these lasses are sure of their beauty. Their fashion is the plain fact that it is the person who makes the clothing look good, not the other way around. Compare fashion craze in the two countries: Paul Smith vs. Gucci. His perception of American women is overstated as well. An average New York girl does her nails at home and has a full collection of high end skincare to do home facials ($200-worth of products at most, which last for half a year, not a month).
Pssh, who cares. This fascination with beauty is one of the reasons why this country is going down hill. Girls spending so much money on beauty products and activities when it could be spent better elsewhere, especially if those types don't make much money to begin with. And after having all that make-up to make yourself look better, what else is there to improve? We took it to the next level wit body types so they slave at the gym to make their insecure selves look like the status quo shedding those last few pounds when they already weight 120. And for those that can't reach some stupid status quo, they get all depressed too. Either way they're bound for insecurity. After we have hot bodies and all that, next is we gotta show it off with tiny clothes. I mean, hey, I love porn and all, but that should be confined, not out in public for all to see, outside, inside, television, magazines, whatever. Now we have these people's little daughters dressing up as prostitots, yay! I mean, I don't like slobs or anything but geez, it's all overdone these days. - N
