View Full Version : American military personnel death toll in Iraq is said to be 21,000.
I came across this article and found it very interesting, to say the least. Article: (June 25th, 2007)
---
True US Bush Iraq-Afghan Wars Deaths At 21,000
WASHINGTON, DC -- "In the last four years of war in Afghanistan and Iraq, the unreported death toll of American military personnel is in excess of 20,000 (20, 871) and the wounded who had to be evacuated from the combat areas for out-of-theater hospitals are in excess of 56,000. This is from a highly classified report sent by the Pentagon to the White House and is of a severely restricted circulation.
This is entirely logical based on the number of troops engaged in both theaters and the duration and increasing deadliness of the bombings, snipings and clandestine mortar and rocket attacks. There is growing public disbelief in the 3,000 plus figures given out by the Pentagon and their paid bloggers but the press steadfastly refuses to even question this issue or even dare to hint at the truth.
Eventually, it will break and when it does, Bush will join Blair in Tanzania and raise elephants.
Families of the dead are always notified but the public is only shows the ca 3 per day when the actual total runs between 9 and 20. This is probably the best-kept secret of the war and God help any reporter in the national media who prints any of this or any member of the DoD who even hints at knowing about it.
They have hidden the huge number of deserters (mostly in Ireland and some in Germany) which is over 7,000. The obedient press here acknowledges these desertions, minimizes them and claims that most of those who ran off, 'eventually come back'. I have news for idiots who report garbage like this; they do not come back.
On the other hand, the dead can never come back and the wounded are shoved aside, not discussed and will be left to rot, literally, in substandard military hospitals or nursing homes.
This will all come out but the Bush people are frantic to keep it locked in the woodshed until they have all left office and gotten lush jobs in the private sectors. Think tanks and major corporations are usually the final resting places for these vultures, when a deep hole in the ground would be far more fitting. Let's give the maggots something to chew on. Even a hungry hyena would draw the line munching on such carrion."

Certainly, there would be significantly less support for a war from the American public if they knew of such a number of casualties. I can think of plenty of reasons why the American government would want to keep secret the true American death toll. Can you?
pjdude1219 07-13-07, 02:34 PM casulities maybe but mot deaths
spidergoat 07-13-07, 03:51 PM Can you provide the source? ...a link? I know it's true that deaths outside of Iraq aren't counted as Iraq casualties, but if the number really is 21,000, that is incredible.

The 21,000 applies only to Afghanistan and Iraq. I originally got the article off whatreallyhappened.com, but found it was on these websites as well:

Take my word for it: this death toll won't be confirmed now by any means. However, when Bush is out of office and free from facing the public's wrath, and the war finally comes to an end, the true death toll will be revealed. And trust me, it's a lot more than 3,500.
Just imagine if Bush was telling America they've lost 21,000 military personnel. I could imagine, there would be an uproar.

There were thousands more than that many lost in one battle in World War II. And the "uproar" was to keep fighting to win.

Hmm...threat of Nazi Germany, or threat of Iraq?
iceaura 07-13-07, 07:50 PM The Minnesota National Guard outfit that is coming home now has been in theater about as long as anyone.
So far, everyone missing was accounted for already.
Based on the numbers I'd say its really not that bad for having won two wars far away from home. From a tactical perspective we're okay. If you want to start the tender portrayal music for each person its a damn shame to have lost so many fine sons and daughters of America in the flower of their youth.
TW Scott 07-14-07, 01:11 AM I think some one it taking the very loosest definition of casuality and calling it a death toll. I'll bet the most at least 17,000 of those supposed dead are actually wounded and not dead..
21,000 seems more credible (even understated) for 5 years of violence.
Our death toll numbers don't take into account the deaths of security contractors either, which we have a shitload over there, making tons more money than any of our regular soldiers ever will.

iceaura 07-14-07, 08:36 PM 21,000 seems more credible (even understated) for 5 years of violence. That works out to an extra 300+ deaths per state. So far, not even one exra death has appeared among the returning Minnestoa National Guard - everyone has been accounted for.

Finally. Democrats find a reason to defend the interests of Republicans.
"No more Republican family members must be allowed to die to protect us sorry-assed Democrats who don't volunteer for military service because we're women-like, and they're real men making us look bad.
Bring the damn troops home, now! We need a date who isn't a lesbian."

You're ex-military, Mr G?
That works out to an extra 300+ deaths per state. So far, not even one exra death has appeared among the returning Minnestoa National Guard - everyone has been accounted for.
You're missing the point, iceaura. The article is implying that soldiers or military personnel who die in Iraq or Afghanistan aren't being returned to the United States. Sure, the bodies that are shipped back are accounted for, but who truly knows how many Americans have been dumped into the desert? When the war's over, the exact numbers will come out. This article was to show you that there is a very good chance that the numbers we're given are extremely low.
You're ex-military, Mr G?
I drew a higher number than was being called in the second-to-the-last Viet Nam war draft.
I tried for a NROTC college draft deferment. Couldn't get one--I'm asthmatic.
I'm also ex-Republican.
Then, again, I'm also ex-Democrat before that.
I'm a Registered Independent.
I'm surrounded by invested idiots.
That gives me an exploitable edge.
You're ex-military, Mr G?
BTW: I don't charge a serviceman/servicewoman for work I do for them.
I see to it that my non-service clients pay their share of my pro-bono work for our military service people.
I'm pro-military. I'm just not ex-military.
iceaura 07-14-07, 10:55 PM You're missing the point, iceaura. The article is implying that soldiers or military personnel who die in Iraq or Afghanistan aren't being returned to the United States. Now pay attention: The number of Minnesota National Guard recently shipped back from Iraq (dead or alive) is not even one short of the number who shipped over in that large unit. Nobody is missing from that force.
There should be, according to your 21,000 figure, at least 300 Minnesotans shipped over to Iraq and gone missing.
So who are these extra 17 thousand dead? What force or unit did they come from?
Michael 07-15-07, 10:11 PM I seriously doubt there's an additional 17000 dead solders.
I would agree there could be 17000 dead contractors though or 17000 additional injured solders.

They all cite a "...highly classified report sent by the Pentagon to the White House... of a severely restricted circulation."
Right. This info is still just a rumour.
countezero 07-15-07, 11:36 PM Look at his sources. They're all crap. It would be impossible to keep the dead from being counted, as the Media have been counting them from the beginning, and all it would take is one family calling up to blow this "conspiracy" sky high...

The Media only keeps tabs on the deaths of the soldiers given to them through Pentagon press briefings, so they wouldn't find any inconsistencies with the number crunchings because when you're only allowed to know what other people tell you, you become a slave. Besides, it's not like we the people or the Media gets to see any of those caskets shipped back from combat anyways.
We only know what we're allowed to know.

Get used to it. The Media is shit these days; nobody ever gets to name names. Anything controversial, whether in favor or against this administration, is always undisclosed sources, reports, assumptions, guesses, and lots of what ifs. It's just like the build-up intelligence to the Iraq War, and everything after it.
We don't know anything and we will never be allowed to know anything. All that's gonna happen is we're gonna go forth with whatever this government wants to do and there's not a damned thing we can do about it since America has become a nation of such pussy pacifists that most don't even know their own Constitution or Bill of Rights. Ya'll just follow orders like sheep, forgetting that We the People are the power, but it's more convenient to allow corrupt politicians to do everything else for you, running your lives into ruin. Here, lemme pass the Prozac around..
