Okay, I recently downloaded the initial part of the new game America's Army from their website. Now, when I try and open the game (after installing it) I get this message:

Assertion failed: InPos<=Size File:..\Core\Inc\FFileManagerWindows.h] [Line: 62]

History: FArchiveFileReader::Seek <- ULinkerLoad::Seek <- LoadImportMap <- ULinkerLoad::ULinkerLoad <- UObject::GetPackageLinker <- ULinkerLoad::VerifyImport <- ValidateImports <- ULinkerLoad::Verify <- ULinkerLoad::ULinkerLoad <- UObject::GetPackageLinker <- ULinkerLoad::VerifyImport <- ValidateImports <- ULinkerLoad::Verify <- ULinkerLoad::ULinkerLoad <- UObject::GetPackageLinker <- ULinkerLoad::VerifyImport <- ULinkerLoad::VerifyImport <- ValidateImports <- ULinkerLoad::Verify <- ULinkerLoad::ULinkerLoad <- UObject::GetPackageLinker <- ULinkerLoad::VerifyImport <- ValidateImports <- ULinkerLoad::Verify <- ULinkerLoad::ULinkerLoad <- UObject::GetPackageLinker <- ULinkerLoad::VerifyImport <- ValidateImports <- ULinkerLoad::Verify <- ULinkerLoad::ULinkerLoad <- UObject::GetPackageLinker <- UObject::StaticLoadObject <- (Engine.Level None.MyLevel Entry) <- VerifyPackages <- UGameEngine::LoadMap <- UGameEngine::Init <- InitEngine

Does anyone have a clue what this means???

I know what it means.

SOMETHING HAS GONE WRONG

Try downloading the full 200mb one. Thats what I did. Sorted it right out.

Also, you can only download 10 individual things when you need 11 (Army 8, Army 10, etc)

it all is in this line
InPos<=Size File:..\Core\Inc\FFileManagerWindows.h]
see the
InPos<=Size File

it means that some InPos (initial position:confused: ) is smaller thn the needed size.
Means-> yeah , get the full download.

I think the rests shows the details of what the game tries to load , but fails.
see that in some places it repeats - meaning it tried to vertify the loading of some parts more than one time.

so yeah I can with 90% assurance tell you that smth is missing and the game knows it and it won't load.

I'm going to say I've seen similar when I tried loading Diablo II onto the system I use now, but when it was chock full of P-100 BAD RAM (Namely it wasn't working)

My guess it's what you might commonly come across as a CRC error, CRC can be caused by how your system "Recompiles" code after it's been downloaded, either your download had errors in it, or more likely your OS has suffered a problem in RAM or the SWAP DRIVE (which are used to re-compile it)

If your RAM is fine, then consider DEFRAGing your system if it's a windows (after you've cleared out your TEMP folder etc)
This should mean that your drive is checked for errors, and shouldn't dot it's clusters all over the hard drive while waiting to be compiled.

Thanks guys! I ended up finding out when America's Army's site latter released the Systems Req. site that my graphics card isn't good enough. So even if it is any of those things, I can't run the game. Anyone try it? Good?

I downloaded the ten pieces, but the merge gave a corrupted zip file.

I need to download the whole 202mb chunk.

A friend of mine already did and said it wasn't that good. Too though. Games shouldn't be too realistic, they should still be fun. (btw he's an Unreal and Unreal Tournament veteran, so not a beginner at fps)

It is supposed to use latest Unreal technology, which means that before Unreal II and UT 2003, we can see the new engine in this army game.

Starting download now, opinion follows! :)

It uses the Unreal + Unreal Tournament technology. They have a false claim. It isn't any good at all.

Hey guys

I know this thread is for Americas Army but i have the exact same error message when Im about to join a internet game in Unreal Tournament. I have tryied reinstalling, but i have been using a 'No CD Crack'. Could this affect the error message? Any ideas on how to fix this problem?

Thnx

Why would you use a no cd crack on Unreal Tournament? It runs without the cd in the drive....

A4Ever's right, It runs from your hard drive. Theirs no need for a no CD crack.
