OMG! This new technology is so awesome! I'm seriously considering buying a system from these guys:

    http://www.tigertv.com/

They're offering financing with no payment on the finance as low as $60. If my check goes through ok and I can get the payment of $60 a month, I'm going to quit smoking because with the amount of money I spend on cigarettes each month, I can pay off my extra bill and put the other 30 into the bank. I'm just wondering what you guys think about this system from that website they're selling. Of course, I'd spend the extra 150 dollars to double the ram and add another dvd drive. What do you think?

I never buy anything for which I do not have the money. But I think it is a culture in the US.

I don't trust AMD. Anyway this chip is too new. It would be prudent to wait a little.

(At home, I'm still working from a Pentium 100. It does everything I need it to do)

I just gotta keep saying to myself, thou shalt not covet, and my wife would kill me. You need a 256MB video card, though.

Why are you posting in this forum? If you only have a P100 at home you must not be a geek.

I agree on buying the new 64 chip. There is no reason to ever buy the newest. Buy something that sells well when the newer model comes out.

I would rather have a P4, but for the money I think AMD chips and chipsets are getting better and better. My new Nforce2 board and Barton2500 are very quick. Easily as fast as my work 2.4 P4 PC.

I don't know (and don't care) what you have to do to be classified a "geek". Topics in this forum interest me. I do some "geeky" stuff with my P100. I interface microcontrollers to it and write Visual C code..

.. don't get me wrong... I too, am tempted by bigger & badder machines.

Buy AMD. AMD is your friend. AMD is great. Mmmmmmm oooga bomb diggity doo voodoo Buy AMD. Help my stock go up. Mmmmmm voodoo boo gada gada do it now.

AMD is, IMO (since I work there) underrated. The speeds in the Athlon when it came out beat Intel and at a fraction of the cost. Quality is not really a concern because AMD quality is on par with Intel. While Intel has a bigger share of the market, I seriously hope AMD catches up ( so my stocks will go up) because AMD deserves the recognition. Better products at a lower cost. Come on.....you know you wanna buy AMD.

As for the AMD64, I would buy it if I had goo gobs of money. But as for now, I'm just gonna stick with what I have and wait for the price to go down a little bit.

No subliminal messages were harmed in this post.

    hah...at least youre honest, Halo.

    I like AMD.

Velocity Micro is selling the new chips and will soon be financing. They let you put your own system together. AWESOME! They're also one of the top stories in the new PC Magazine.
