Hello all, this is my first and introductory post.

I live in a big city in Western Europe, I'm 20, and I run an estate management firm.

My intellectual interests lie in philosophy, history, literature, the arts, economics... The social sciences and the humanities basically. And politics, definitely.

Politically I would describe myself as conservative libertarian (in that order). I believe in free markets, free trade, traditional values and all that stuff.

I have a huge ego and very little tolerance for idiots. I love attention and having the spotlight on me. I can be quite vain.

I have little idea what else to say to introduce myself. I'm open to questions, though, so fire away.

EDIT: I'm female and my alias comes from the song "Girl Named Sandoz," once covered by the Smashing Pumpkins. Sandoz is the pharmaceutical company where LSD was discovered and it therefore became a slang word for acid.

Estate managers, well, manage estates. ;) What this means is, basically, that rich people give me control over their money and I invest it in stuff so that they can have even more money (or pay less taxes, but I don't really do tax liability reduction).

Yes, I am the founder, owner and president of my company. It's a small outfit, but it pays the bills, and I definitely prefer being queen of my small domain rather than #2 (or #4662) of a huge empire.

As for my city, let's just say it's the greatest city in the world. ;)

I don't feel like I have anything to prove, but estate/wealth management is a legitimate business. Most of the time it's done by banks, then it's called "private banking," but there are also lots of small boutique outfits, which have their pros and cons. I started one last year after dropping out, and we're profitable so far (knock on wood).

Well, my first two clients were friends of my parents. More importantly, I'm an adept networker, and when I want to get a client I can be very aggressive and inventive. I just don't give up. I also have several tools I use to promote myself (I write business letters and mail them to partners at financial institutions (the BCG technique), I attend business forums, etc. etc.). I also provide consulting services at a big discount to potential clients and once they work with me generally they're happy to pursue the relationship.

People are always wary at first when they hear I'm just this girl with no degree, but I have the capacity to reassure them. It may sound pretentious, but it comes down to charisma, and I just project an aura of competence and sharpness in my business relations.

As for the we, well, corporations are persons of law, so that's one plus one. ;) I have a secretary -- sorry, administrative assistant. A friend of mine who's an accountant has been doing more and more freelance financial work for me and I feel like I may be able to hire him full time soon.

P.S. Jee-zus, I need to change this fucking avatar. I may love attention, but it can get a little creepy.

The fact Bells is insinuating I have done something uncharacteristic by making chat posts here is intriguing indeed. I post with great regularity when in chat mode in many threads and yet strangely as they were threads started by men they drew no such childish commetary and foolish observation.

Again very flattering for me, two very intelliegent women, with good sense of humour. I can only aspire to be as disciplined and ladylike as Sam.

I welcome female input here and have never chased a female round the board bitching and sniping. One bitch is more than enough. I am not a woman who prefers male company to womens (may be when younger) I like women, and prefer their company to that of males. When you get to a certain age you realise you can relate more to women. Share the same struggles, trials and tribulations, enjoy a good banter about men folk. It's all good.

The answer is girly drinks. I hate girly cocktails. During the day I drink very strong coffee and lots and lots of water (only way to not eat so much and keep thin). When I go out I drink Diet Coke (the exception to the no girly drinks rule), freshly pressed fruit juice or, if I do want to drink booze, beer or scotch. Or vodka.
