This is the guy that did the artwork for Lateralus, Tool's latest album. He's got some amazing stuff. The sacred mirrors flash tour (http://www.sacredmirrors.org/mirrors_view.html) is really cool too, all new-age philosophy aside ;).

Check him out.

I really love Alex Grey's artwork as well.

Like many, I heard of him because of his work on Lateralus. I think he's got a really interesting perspective on the spiritual side of humanity, and it shows in his work. A lot of his stuff is completely mindblowing... I've browsed through Sacred Mirrors and one of his other books (maybe a newer one -- starts with a 'T'), and I clearly remember a couple of those pictures. They're all very striking.

On a related note, when I saw Tool in concert (summer of 2002) I noticed several images from his books used as the backdrops to their stage. One of them was a two-in-one or three-in-one kind of face, and it changed colors like a fucking chameleon on steroids throughout Tool's set... I was in awe.
