For those of you familiar with the physics literature then you might have read some of the work of Albert Shadowitz. He wrote an EM text and an SR text. Seems that he passed away recently

I found this quite humerous
Al was an irreverent, funny, principled, down-to-earth guy. He never made plans. He had no sense whatsoever of money. Sometimes maddeningly childlike, he was much like the archetypal absent-minded professor. A very hard worker, he also enjoyed relaxing by drinking whisky, playing handball, smoking dope :D or listening to the Beatles.
A loss of a great educator!
