hmmm... "al-Qaida umbrella group" ?

Al-Qaida leader in Iraq threatens Iran (http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/19667464/)

The leader of an al-Qaida umbrella group in Iraq threatened to wage war against Iran unless it stops supporting Shiites in Iraq within two months, according to an audiotape released Sunday.

Abu Omar al-Baghdadi, who leads the group Islamic State in Iraq, said his Sunni fighters have been preparing for four years to wage a battle against Shiite-dominated Iran.

“We are giving the Persians, and especially the rulers of Iran, a two month period to end all kinds of support for the Iraqi Shiite government and to stop direct and indirect intervention ... otherwise a severe war is waiting for you,” he said in the 50-minute audiotape. The tape, which could not be independently verified, was posted on a Web site commonly used by insurgent groups.

Something like this, perhaps...?

as in - it's a vast conspiracy by EE-murr-uh-guh to kick off a war with Iran by using the very people we're now using as a rationale for our war in Iraq as the shock troops for the opening campaign...
(just speculating)

Still...

If Iran is America's enemy...

And Al Qaeda is anti-Iran...

Is the enemy of our enemy our friend even if he's our enemy ???

Hey, if Iraq wants to take out Iran, have at it, it'll just make it easier for us to go in when they give us a reason to.

Why? look at the History of the Palestinians they bit every hand that was ever offered in help. That is one of the curious thing that I see in the interactions of the terrorist powers in the Middle East, they are not afraid kill their own unless they follow the script to the last dotted I, and the last crossed T, and Iran has its own interest to be served before al Quaida's, and al Quaida doesn't like it, matter of fact if you look at most of these Islamic Terrorist they operate like a 3 year old in a temper tantrum they want everything their own way and will strike out at anyone who doesn't comply with their every wish and mood, even those who feed and cloth them.

Iran is a regional power and a historical one. They have every right to have an influence in neighboring Iraq, whether you like their government or not. The US meddles in the affairs of dozens of countries, Iran has a say in majority Shia Iraq and will, regardless of US protests. We certainly know now we can't beat Iran!
BTW al Qaida is not an Iranian backed organization in Iraq. They are Sunni extremists. Hezbollah is the group Iran backs in Iraq's war of independence.
