Penda was washing her clothes at the edge of the nearby river Systema. She's always been a hard worker but up until now things had never gone her way, she was feeling somewhat lost. Her father was a baker in the nearby village of Trist, all night he'd work baking for the following morning just to feed the 7 kids he had. His 3 wives all had their own specific needs, and thus Penda was left behind all of them, including her brothers.
