I have the impression that zox is the site owner who sets policy and direction, and that pseud0 is the technical manager. Is that a reasonably accurate impression? Hi Pete, As you already know, we are new management staff. Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image! We’ll give our best to optimize this place and bring in some useful features. By now, we did a lot of stuff on SF, starting with system upgrade, up to template restyling and bug fixing. Both of us work almost the same stuff. However, Zox is working mainly with backend features (server management, plugin installation, forum setup, etc) and I’m more related to front end (design, layout look, HTML/CSS coding, template optimization, etc). Zox is Linux guy and I’m still Windows addicted Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image! Dave, the previous owner, still has the admin position. Personally, I don’t know would he be able to do the admin job in the future, but in some situation he could be a great help for us, since he founded this community and he knows the greater part of community. At this moment, we consider to open competition for moderator’s position on un-moderated forums. We discuss this with current moderators and we’ll post more info pretty soon.

Is it like open moderator nominations or do all the current moderators pick? I hope we can dump some of the old mods that just do not show up. Xev is fun, but she is gone.

Hopefully, popularity won't have too much to do with it. The criteria should be how well you are able to moderate. "How well" is tricky to pin down, of course. Criteria include the satisfaction of the members, the satisfaction of fthe administration, and the "quality" (another tricky term) of the forum content.
What? Do y'mean Ophiolites "Disillusioned" thread? The one where a moderate, longstanding member of this comunity submitted his honest, open feelings regarding the direction the forums seem to be going in...? No such post old man. Never happened. A bit like the report fuck-up, only apparently not a technical fault. But in either case the thread doesn't appear to exist, so quite what on earth anyone is talking about bringing the subject up in the first place, I have absolutely no possible idea.
