    Hi:
Just a few days ago, we said adieu to the month of RAMADAN. We were a bit limited here, in my country, but It was not so bad. It was a different month anyway. It made us happy, it made us sad. It kept us thinking about what we eat and those who have an empty swollen stomach. It was part of our days of our lives. It passed, I think, swiftly. I did not fast but I enjoyed it. May God bless all those well-intentioned people who were fasting. May He bess you all. Thanks

    Hi:
When you avoid eating intentionally for a month or for some time, you get control of your senses. You donot try to seduce anyone or to be seduced by anyone. You think of the people who are deprived of the things you enjoy having them.
Those who fast in this month become united in a way against what is evil which is disobediance to their God. And when you pray to God with an empty stomach, He can`t but listen to you.
    Thanks

RAMADAN is the ninth month of the Islamic calender

It is during this month that Muslims observe the Fast of Ramadan. Lasting for the entire month, Muslims fast during the daylight hours and in the evening eat small meals and visit with friends and family. It is a time of worship and contemplation. A time to strengthen family and community ties

    http://www.holidays.net/ramadan/story.htm]The story of Ramadan[/url]
During Ramadan, it is common for Muslims to go to the Masjid (Mosque) and spend several hours praying and studying the Quran. In addition to the five daily prayers, during Ramadan Muslims recite a special prayer called the Taraweeh prayer (Night Prayer). The length of this prayer is usually 2-3 times as long as the daily prayers. Some Muslims spend the entire night in prayer

On the evening of the 27th day of the month, Muslims celebrate the Laylat-al-Qadr (the Night of Power). It is believed that on this night Muhammad first received the revelation of the Holy Quran. And according to the Quran, this is when God determines the course of the world for the following year

    HI:
Let me,first, thank curiosity to raise this thread again. Now I would like to ask this what do you, Wraith or Quran mean by "... God determines the course of the world for the following year?"
Did the Ramadan before the last, God almighty, set the course in a way that US-led coalition forces would attck Iraq and topple Saddam Hussein? Or are the course of events running against His will? Or There is no God or controll over the Earth at all and people, especially, the powerful ones can do whatevere they can without caring about the weak ones? cheers!
