    It's ... a tie

Obama, Biden, and Clinton fudged a few times. Edwards only trespassed once that I recall. Unfortunately, Richardson seems to have given over to his low standings, although I enjoyed his performance. Even if I deduct points for dodging questions, and give one back to Biden for his one-word answer, I'm going to score it with three essential ties:

    Tie First: Kucinich/Edwards

    Tie Second: Biden/Dodd

    Third (Fifth): Richardson

    Tie Fourth (Sixth): Clinton/Obama

The media darlings, Clinton and Obama, are aware of their status, and aware that the people cannot necessarily be said to agree. They fought too hard to keep the talking points front and center, and it's not a good look for either of them. I was very happy with Edwards, my preferred candidate, but Kucinich was as on fire as you can get five months out.

It's worth noting, though, that the New York Times' transcript, while noting cheers and applause, seems to omit the boos and jeering.

Best answer of the night: a tie between Biden's one-word answer and Kucinich's pep-rally.

Worst answer of the night: Obama refusing to answer the "Barry Bonds" question.
