I don't buy the argument its for forigners learning English as wikipedia provides many pages in multiple languages, also you probably don't want to learn how to talk and write like this.

I also don't buy the argument that its for kids because kids should read the normal wiki and adults should read citizendium,

As I do agree with its approach of extreme simplicity to everything...I do have to say that it is far from being "for retarded" and to prove it to you let me form an argument.

If this simple-wiki is for mentally retarded than everything it lists should already be known to you and understood without clarification. correct?

Incorrect: There is a difference between ignorance and intelligence. The subject may be cosmic nuclear field theory, which I know nothing about (in fact I think I just made that phrase up), citizendium, even wikipedia would try to explain this cosmology theory to me with a lexicon of at least college level. simple wiki on the other hand would explain it to me with the lexicon of a 7 year old! Imagine particle physicist talking like that:
