This is very local to me I might go and hunt it down tommorow. Anyone know where I should start?

£100,000 its worth a try.

Somewhere with a big hole would be a good idea. Christ that thing is ugly. Do the world a favour, burn it if you find it first.

why would anyone want to steal a statue. it would take so much effort to sell it.

Indeed. Once it's reported stolen the potential market for such an item decreases dramatically. Which is probably why they're predicting it will be dumped shortly. Not quite the master crime eh

We are back without finding it :(

Henry Moore's "Reclining Figure" is a "national treasure"!!! Could you yourself produce such a magnificent masterpiece? Bite your tongue, before we find it! It would certainly make for a good ship's anchor!

look in/near bodies of water. I would dump it in a lake or river so it was not visible. look for a body of water that has steep drop off and is accessible to a vehicle, as they are not going to carry it very far. I would check bridges in rural areas that cross streams greater than 3 feet deep.

Smart idea cato, sounds like you have been in similar situations :)
