Tell me, all you "computer pros", do most motherboards except Pentium CPUs AND Celeron CPUs?

I would love to have any info you have on this question, thanks.

If a motherboard is Slot 478 it will accept both P4's and Celerons. Slot 478 refers to the pin count (478 pins).

Slot 423 died out long ago along with the Williamette core (thankfully). And production was halted long ago on Celerons with the old packaging (slot 370, also used for Pentium 3's).

So to answer your question, yes, most modern motherboards will support both P4 and Celeron. Anything from Intel's 845 and up. Also SiS 655 and other chipsets will as well.
