I am interested in what Pro-Palestinians would consider the minimum acceptable conditions for a cessation of fighting the Jews in Palestine/Israel.

By choosing multiple options, you can indicate some intermedate view.

as much as one might want to, getting rid of israel is simply no longer an option. the best we can hope for is nixing the settlements and respecting sovereignty.

A secular Palestine run by Palestinians is the only acceptable option. Jews, Christians and others that wish to remain would be permitted to do so, if they aren't on The List.

Why isn't there a two state option?

That's what I vote for.

It's the Palestinian land to begin with.

I voted "Allow Jews to stay under Palestinian rule." and "Allow Jews to control current territory with right of return."

This may appear contradictory at first, but there was no poll option for a single-state solution. In essence, I believe that:

1. All Palestinians should be given a right of return, an apology, and compensation for the hardships that they have suffered.

2. All races, religions and ethnicities should be recognized as 'Israeli' under the law, and be awarded equal rights and protection under the law.

3. Israel and occupied territories should merge to form a single state which is administrated by a joint government of Palestinians and Jews, where each ethnicity is proportionally represented. In otherwords, a system similiar to that used in Lebanon.

If my 'peace offer' were adopted, I believe that 'terrorists' (ie. resistance forces which harass Israelis) would bleed away within months. All that Israel needs to do is offer a fair compromise, and dispose of its elitist nonsense, such as a 'Jewish only' state.

I didnt see the "Let them each have their own state, build a 100'ft wall between them, and let everyone go their seperate ways"

not true.

and if you want to establish one state, you are going to have to wait a while.

these questions should be asked of Hamas and other rejectionists, since it is only their opinion that matters.

if 70% of the "Palestinian" population wants peace NOW for a generous deal such as Barak's, their opinion doesn't really matter since the other 30% (and their backers in Iran and Syria) will shoot them
or they'll shoot at Israel and provoke another "intifada", rendering any agreement by a selected democratic gov't void

Where are the contradictions? Perhaps those people felt "either/or" could happen and be acceptable terms, not all happen at once?
