View Full Version : A new approach on life
Bebelina 03-15-03, 04:30 PM Anybody got any of those yet? Or is it just the same old approaches that are being dragged out of their caves over and over again?
Tell me something I have never heard of before, something new!
:m:
Bebelina 03-15-03, 04:43 PM I guess nobody has one...
Bebe
Tell me something I have never heard of before, something new!
I built a scale model of a 12th century castle made from rocks found on the beaches of Ios with three buck naked swedish girls, an idiot Parisian and an out of control Aussie.
Bebelina 03-15-03, 04:48 PM That was new to me, but how was it new in a new approach to life way?
Was there a deeper thought behind this, or was the new approach simply the lack of such?
Bel,
Happiness is different for each person. It is impossible to be happy all the time-we have to experience both sides of the coin to realise whether or not the grass is greener on the other side..therefore
"do you know where I can get a double headed coin?,and do you know how I can get to Q's castle, the grass there surely looks very green..!
;)
Bebelina 03-15-03, 05:06 PM Oh, but that was old...
But maybe, I'm only saying maybe, I can get you into Q's castle...

It simply shows that a new approach to life cannot simply be explained on an internet forum. You had to be there.

do you know how I can get to Q's castle
If the winter storms haven't destroyed it, the castle should still be standing on a beach on the island of Ios, just north of Santorini, which is a group of islands known as the Cyclades.
Be careful though, there are Asps everywhere.
Neville 03-15-03, 05:12 PM do you know where I can get a double headed coin?,and do you know how I can get to Q's castle, the grass there surely looks very green..! Yeah it looks green but as the saying goes: 'the grass always looks greener on the other side.' :D ;) :p
Why does it have to be a double-headed coin?? Why cant it just be 'a coin', and see what comes out?? (I do see where your coming from though). But maybe, I'm only saying maybe, I can get you into Q's castle... Yeah maybe!. Maybe you'll get in there and you shouldn't have been in there in the first place. ;)

I'm into Asps ...don't you mean Spa's, I like to wash everyday...
and Bel if you can get me into the Q'S castle I WILL TELL YOU SOMETHING YOU NEVER HEARD BEFORE!!:D  :m:
Bebelina 03-15-03, 06:40 PM Are you overrating my knowledge of possible approaches, or can't you just come up with something?
Bebelina 03-15-03, 06:42 PM Help me out here, I feel intellectually understimulated.
Neville 03-15-03, 06:53 PM Help me out here, I feel intellectually understimulated. A start would be if you stopped using that garish colour and big letters ;) :D :)
Bebelina 03-15-03, 06:58 PM No, no that would not help at all, quite the contrary, that would dullify everything.
Neville 03-15-03, 07:29 PM No, no that would not help at all, quite the contrary, that would dullify everything. Well colours and letters like that drullify everything!
Bebelina 03-15-03, 07:44 PM What is drull? If it is the opposite of dull, I like it.

"Have you ever tried reading books with small letters!:D :m:
Neville 03-16-03, 08:04 AM Drull is like drear as in drear-y :D. I dont think it exists as a word though. lol
Bebelina 03-16-03, 08:54 AM So this is the new approach you are suggesting, use smaller letter and no colours...
Sorry, I've heard that one before, and I don't like it! :p
Vortexx 03-16-03, 09:14 AM In Holland currently starting a reality soap where they have people do exact the opposite things/jobs for two weeks than their current lifestyle, for instance:
- a glamour foto-model, working in the mud at a farm
- a straight guy , construction worker, working two weeks as bartender in a gay bar etc....
lixluke 03-16-03, 01:15 PM where the hell do i start?
i wish my life design website was up so i can just link it to you
lixluke 03-17-03, 04:31 PM ok here’s a few simple things:
Every action and decision you take is controlled by your subconscious. Not your conscious.
Your conscious does however have the ability to control your subconscious.
Consciously trying to change your behavior does not work. Change the subconscious feelings towards the behavior, and the subconscious will change the behavior.
It's like a thermostat.
Your wealth, relationships, health, productivity, and quality of life are subconsciously set at a certain level.
If you the levels of any of these areas increase or decrease, the subconscious will eventually come back to that level.
If you really want to increase your wealth, relationships, health, productivity, and quality of life, you cannot do so consciously because your subconscious thermostat will bring you back to your set level no matter what.
The only thing you can do is psychologically work on your subconscious to set it at a higher level so that no matter what you do or what happens, you will always go back to the level you set yourself at.
More?
Happiness does not come from achieving certain goals. Happiness comes from constant focus and effort towards your goals.
If you do not set yourself to constantly focus and follow through on your goals and purposes, you will not be happy.
The first step to this is knowing what your purpose is. If you don't, than your purpose might be finding out what your purpose is. But you don't really have to go too far because all of the answers are within yourself.
As long as you have positive goals, and you are moving towards them, you are living. Anything that you do that does not coincide with your plan is a distraction to temporary happiness illusion. As long as you are constantly on top of everything, and avoiding dangerous distractions, your life will move in profound directions.
More?
You seem to really be into love.
This is pretty old stuff here, but some people don't understand that if they truly love their partner, than they wouldn't be attracted to anybody else in any way. Nobody else in the world can arouse you in any physical way if you are with a partner you truly desire and love.
A happy relationship cannot come by joining two unhappy singles. You are going to get what you are.
In other words, if you are not emotionally secure with yourself, the best you can hope for is a partner that is also not emotionally secure. If you really want a partner that is intelligent, good hearted, self sacrificing, caring, independent, and responsible, you yourself better have those qualities.
You cannot be a desperate wreck and expect your partner to an angel.
Furthermore, you can’t expect your partner to fill in the gaps in your life. If you have many responsibilities that you have a hard time handling, don’t think getting a partner will ease your load. They are your responsibilities, and should not be shared with your partner. Although having a loving relationship has its rewards, it adds to your responsibility. Nurturing your relationship is an added responsibility to your life. If you can barely handle your own life, taking on the responsibility of getting into a loving relationship should not be your focus.
More?
lol.
Pollux V 03-17-03, 06:19 PM Eat something really gassy and then mill around a public place for an hour. Hang out with people you like and fart as often as possible, but make sure that the farts are of the "silent but deadly" type. It'll be a wild rush, trust me;)
Bebelina 03-17-03, 06:29 PM Thank you cool skill, I didn't know you had it in you. :p
Although it was no news to me, it was definitely worth reading and sometimes a person needs to be reminded of the essentials, thank you for writing it down.
You somehow pinpointed some issues I need to care of, that I knew about but have been repressing. Maybe it's time.
Pollux V 03-17-03, 06:30 PM Hey, I was serious!
Bebelina 03-17-03, 06:31 PM Pollux, that was definitely new!
But I don't think I'm ready for that yet, I'm not as brave as you. ( I assume you have tried this out)
Pollux V 03-17-03, 06:32 PM Yes, but not on purpose.
Bebelina 03-17-03, 06:35 PM You have a great sense of farthumour Pollux. I remember you telling some fartstory before that was completely hilarious, but know I can't recall how it went..maybe it was in the picture thread...
Pollux V 03-17-03, 06:36 PM Yeah, I remember that one. Something about...yes, yes that was funny...hmm...
Although, usually I don't joke about farts.

Gee.
Bel......
Tomato and crab soup.
Did you know that tomato and crab soup is only eaten by the pygmies of outer mongolia, when there is a full moon, and the cermony to the "vagina" Goddess starts in March, who has complete authority over all the males....most of them do not know if they are coming or going....depending on the crabs power on their journey of discovery , which unfortunately comes to a nasty end.
"Tomato and crab soup",could you be the next recipient to be sent for ?, to capture the spirit of of the music of the night..cluthching your portion of tomato and crab soup and your adoration to the canal leading from the vulva to the uterus:cool: :D :m:
P.S with or without hair!
everneo 03-18-03, 06:34 AM start approaching everything as if it is new..
Bebelina 03-18-03, 10:26 AM Hmm, I don't eat crabs though, but considering the promised powers....
Everneo, that was good, that approach can never get old.
moonman 03-18-03, 11:42 AM There are 6,000,000,000 different approaches to life at this very second and an infinity of possible approaches.
What does it for me, I love the way the world flows, time comes and goes and is forgotten and rememberd in poignantly nostalgic moments that paint the world in deeper colours of sadness and joy.
No it's not from a book, I made it up myself.:p
Bebelina 03-18-03, 02:34 PM Ah, so poetic....
river-wind 03-18-03, 08:12 PM I will tell you what I have found, so you can help me explain it more clearly to others who ask. Or to just shut up if it is not helpful at all.
Nothing is good. Nothing is bad. The scope of the question and the scope of the answer determine what needs doing.
and now, in more clear words:
first, a problem is determined.
-I am hungry
then the problem is understood.
-I ate too much last night, and stretched my stomach. I then digested all my food, and now my stomach is empty again.
Then you make the hard decision- do I want to patch the symptoms, or fix the problem? what is the scope of the solution you desire? How much work are you willing to put in?
-I want to not be hungry, today or tomorrow.
then you act on your decision in the most balanced way
-I eat now, but I do not eat to the point where I am full. my stomach will shrink, and I will be less hungry tomorrow.
These questions depend on everything around and in you. the answer today may be different than tomorrow. neither is better, as long as you listen to all the information when making the call. If something is forgotten one day, include it in the next.
I may decide that I have food that will go bad tomorrow. In this case, I may eat more, so that the food does not go to waste (if I cannot figure out a better way to use it). In this case, I will be continuing my hunger, but I have already thought out why I am doing this, so I can more quickly decide what to do tomorrow, when there is no extra food that needs eating. ( :( this is a poor example, as the idea f food 'going to waste' is a bit pompous, IMO)
If you lie to yourself at any point, this will no work, and you will feel uncertainty. If you are fully honest, and act slowly while you decide, you will have full confidence in your action.
Bebelina 03-18-03, 08:24 PM Thank you river-wind.
Those were some serious dieting tips.
sargentlard 03-18-03, 09:23 PM Try this: walk up the stairs of a tall building (doesn't have to be a skyscrapper just tall enough to feel lavitated) then look at the sky, prefrebaly night sky bathing in the glistening star light. Spread your arms open and start thinking of all the things that bring you down, after it starts to get heavy in your mind...count to 2 and SCREAM....LOUD and keep thinking of all the good things you've done and had them done onto you. Scream as long as you can and as loud and when you stop keep looking at the sky and realize that nothing is forever and as good passes so does bad, that if one can gain wisdom if he/she so wishes then he/she can also lose ignorance if they so wish to do so. Take a deep breath and smile (even if you don't feel like it smile). see how you feel and tell me ok.
sargentlard 03-18-03, 09:26 PM "Cognito ergo sum". That's all you have to do to validate your existence. Nobody can take that gift from you.
P.S. Watch a really good movie. Sometimes that is all that is needed. I suggest "Donnie Darko"
Bebelina 03-18-03, 09:29 PM But I have a very loud voice, last time I was performing the soundtechnician said that I could aswell sing without the microphone because he had turned down the volume on it to practically nothing.
People would call the police...
Donnie Darko, is that the one with Johnny Depp?
sargentlard 03-18-03, 09:36 PM ok so don't scream but think of something you always wanted to say but couldn't or can't to anyone...actually scream, nobody cares, it's your voice let it be heard.
Nope it's a relatively new film (i think) it has Jake Gyllanhall. Excellent film.
ucitian 03-18-03, 09:56 PM singing performances without microfones; dats a new approach... lolz
and police raiding da concert hallz 4 high volume ..... lol dats some thing i guess no one has heared before.. .. :p
Poor bebelina.... she wanted some1 to make her happy by presenting a new approach towads life.... none ov dem could instead ov boring her... so she had to do it herself. :D
Cheer up Beb.... u got a new approach !!! :o

I think Cogito ergo sum would be a better way...cognito ergo sum would hide the truth...as we think!
