A friend of mine handed me this book (http://www.amazon.com/All-Mathematics-You-Missed-Graduate/dp/0521797071/ref=pd_bb) yesterday and asked my opinion. I offer you guys the same opinion I offered him.

It is excellent as far as it goes. It assumes a certain familiarity with math, of course, and covers a lot of ground rather superficially. But it will, I am sure, give you the tools to approach more specialized texts (or dare I say Wikipedia) with less "fear and trembling".

Normally, I hesitate to recommend text-books, as we all have our own way of learning, but it seems this one can be got from Amazon for almost no money.

Just a thought for those who want to step up to the next level of mathematics.
