 FREAKIN Hypocrits!!! They have been filming him for how many years now?? And never in all that time did he say the n word. They never ever had to edit it out?? They knew, but he was a cash cow. They supported him. Now, when the truth comes out, they bail. Hypocrits.

HONOLULU — Television bounty hunter Duane "Dog" Chapman's show has been pulled from the air indefinitely by A&E, two days after a private phone conversation in which the reality star used a racial slur repeatedly was posted online.

"In evaluating the circumstances of the last few days, A&E has decided to take `Dog The Bounty Hunter' off the network's schedule for the foreseeable future," the network said in a statement Friday. "We hope that Mr. Chapman continues the healing process that he has begun."

A&E officials said the series, one of the network's top-rated programs, has not been canceled.

Chapman, 54, has been under fire and accused of being a racist ever since the private conversation with his son, Tucker Chapman, was posted online Wednesday by The National Enquirer. Chapman used the N-word repeatedly about his son's black girlfriend.

At least two advertisers have pulled out from the show and civil rights groups have called for its cancellation.

Soon after the clip was posted, Chapman issued an apology and A&E suspended production of the series....

He will return I'm sure. Look at Don Imus he's starting his show again this

month sometime. He made a mistake and he must pay but its not the end of

him and even if he lost the TV gig he still has his own business doesn't he?

We hope that Mr. Chapman continues the healing process that he has begun
The one that will 'heal' him of his tendency to indulge in unfortunate racist ranting, I presume? I see it all now: the chat shows; the racism awareness courses; the sincere apologies..

But how long has A&E been editing his racist crap and now say "we will investigate the issue, we don't condone or support his statements, etc" That's CRAP!! They have been supporting and covering him for years.

True but he never made statements like that on air did he? If so I'm certain

they edited them out.

His dad fired him for dating her. he said it was her character, not the fact that she's black. One of Dog's biggest things on his show is family, family, family....unless you date a black person. Because he would rather fire his son then quit using the n word.

Of course. Perish the thought that he - Dog! - should just hate them negroes.

The Dog is a devout born again Christian. Jesus is his motivator. The Lord works in mysterious ways. Listen to Dog's words own words. It's Christians expressing their love. Flag waving, N...hating, Republicans for Christ. Jesus knows that in his heart Dog is doing the Lord's bidding. Jesus weeps. :bawl:

I remember the interview when him and Beth got married. He said he wasn't gonna get married until he knew he could keep his vows because if he couldn't that would be a sin against god. Beth just sat there.
Lord love a duck! He's been cheating on her all that time, but its ok in god's eyes because they weren't married so...
stupid stupid woman.

I always figured the show should have been cancelled for being an awful television program. From there, I'm not too worried about the hypocrisy. After all, they're television execs. At least, for now, he's off the air.

What kind of crap will they put on in its place I wonder? This show is very

bad can it become any worse? I only watched a few episodes and found it

so crappy that I never returned to see it again. This is about as useless of

a TV program and cheapest that you can view.

That HE could be on the meth after all from the few episodes I saw he

seemed against its use and was telling others how bad it was. He did

however look like a candidate for meth labs 101. :D

I find this insulting. How does it possibly make it better??

....Chapman (http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/21689604/) also specifically apologized to his son’s girlfriend, Monique Shinnery. But Shinnery told the Enquirer that Chapman’s attorney, not the TV star, called with an apology.

Chapman also said he is making a deal to be buried at a historic slave burial ground near George Washington’s Mount Vernon home.

“I want to be buried right where they’re at because I will never be forgiven as (long as) I’m alive,” Chapman said....

I don't follow much of this Entertainment stuff. I think a lot of it is all Bullshit.
Some of it just to drum up ratings, or interest back in a celebrity who is falling out of the spotlight.....all crap....

I never saw the show, all I know about it is from South Park, but I don't see what the big deal is, he said something in the privacy of his own home, with a reasonable expectation of privacy. This is getting to be freaking ridiculous. Should we hold our BOUNTY HUNTERS to a higher standard? Give me a break.

I think America's entertainment industry is how most of the world views us. It is their first exposure to us in most cases.

Idiots apparently don't know it only takes 1 time.

And the 16 yr old girls that are having guy #7 tested!!!! How the hell many different guys can you sleep with in a month? And why would you go on national TV and let the world know that??

Nope, can't watch it.

I admit, Mountainhare, the show was such crap and the "Dog" such an ass, it's interesting that this was the clincher. I would have thought the irony of a bounty hunter fleeing from the law (http://news.findlaw.com/ap/o/51/11-06-2007/25f8000f6f30d4bb.html) would have done it. Off on a technicality ... I admit, the situation is ludicrous enough to enjoy.
