you do realise that didnt prove anything. His conclusion is right .9recuring is concidered to be 1 but that doesnt mean his maths is but if you want a really trippy example try this

1/9 = 0.1 recuring
2/9 = 0.2 recuring
3/9 = 0.3 recuring
4/9 = 0.4 recuring
5/9 = 0.5 recuring
6/9 = 0.6 recuring
7/9 = 0.7 recuring
8/9 = 0.8 recuring

so if we follow the patten then
9/9 = 0.9 recuring

but it doesnt it equals 1

4/9 + 5/9 = what? (they are ment to be fractions not divisions BTW)

or

0.4 recuring + 0.5 recuring = what?

thats where the problem lies but if you just accept what he said then

0.4 recuring would equal 0.5 and 0.5 recuring would equal 0.6 which would give a total of 1.1

or better still

0.1 recuring equals 0.2 so 9*0.1 recuring would equal 1.8 which is clearly wrong

I suck at math, I just found the article =/

4/9 + 5/9 = 9/9 = 1 (any number divided by itself =1)

0.4 recuring + 0.5 recuring = 0.9 recuring

or better still

0.1 recuring equals 0.2 so 9*0.1 recuring would equal 1.8 which is clearly wrong

.1 recurring would only equal .2 if there were no real number between them. Obviously there are an infinite number of real numbers between them.

So we're quivelling about 0.00000000....some number about to appear not so soon...etc?
