Keen students of Sciforums posting statistics will be aware that spuriousmonkey has been Sciforums premier poster for some time now.

"You can't touch this!" he crows as he squats on his perch, seemingly untouchable, just 3 short posts away from an extraordinary 20,000 posts! His more-than-respectable posting rate of 12.34 posts per day means that no mere mortal can ever hope to equal him.

However, fellow students will also be aware that his closest rival samcdkey has had her envious eyes on his belt ever since bursting onto the scene just 14 short months ago. In that short time this cocky and enthusiastic newcomer has amassed an incredible 15,146 posts at an even more incredible rate of 34.90 posts per day - almost three times the rate of Sciforums premier primate!

It seems clear to me that if the present trend continues we will soon be witnessing a beheading and a coronation, as the sky cracks, and the Earth rumbles, and a golden sceptre changes hands!

But when, I asked myself? When, damn you! When!??

So: utilising once more the extraordinary power of Microsoft Excel, I have extrapolated the data and identified 7th December 2007 as the date when sam will laughingly wave at the monkey man as she passes, leaving him weeping in her wake, to become the Sciforums Posting Champion!!!

Either that or Sciforums will warp, shrink and disappear up its own anal vortex.

I personally can't wait to see which of these proves true, and I'm sure you can't either!

The only way she can maintain her mind numbing daily post count is because she is fully funded with filthy saudi arabian terror money.
I think george bush is on the verge of winning the war on terror.
I expect al queder will be calling a press conference within the coming weeks to formally surrender (probably onboard a US battleship or some such).
When that happens Sam will be forced to go back to killing mice and her post count will plummet.

Your calculations are wrong btw. Not so long ago my average was 10 per day. Now it is 12 per day. This indicates my post count per day is rising. Sam's has remained stable.

There are several scenarios now.

1. my increase in post count is exponential. Samcdkey will never overtake me.
2. my increase in post count is linear. Samcdkey will overtake me, but I will overtake her again.
3. Samcdkey gets banned after an elaborate plot by spuriousmonkey.
4. the world gets flooded.

5. The Spuriousmonkey unit and the Samcdkey unit merge to form a metaconsciousness which surpasses the sum of its parts.
a. Spuriouscdkey.
b. Sammonkey.

This new entity will, of course, have hairy balls and huge jugs.

There also exists the possibility that two new entities will emerge from the merger. In which case, a cosmic war will ensue as to which will take the reins of the godhead.
