Hahahahahahaha. Don't know what tokin a fatty means? That's laughable. Out of curiosity, how old are you? A 'fatty' is a marijuana cigarette. To 'toke' means to inhale. So 'toke a fatty' means 'smoke a joint'.

odin, I didn't know what toke and fatty meant either. Perhaps it is an American thing. Now I know I find I don't mind having not known before.
I suppose it is a bit of American slang, like '420' itself. Merljn: Nobody really knows. Some say it is from a section of the California penal code dealing with possession of pot, but I dunno.
So what are the terms in britain??? The only one I know is "have a blow"but of course they use that for something else now. Remember I said I am too old for the new words,have a blow dates back to the 60s here. & who blows it! Suck would be a better description!

Geez, ya'll, ya didnt have to argue about it! 420 was a description of someone gettin bustin for tokin on pot, but (and I've read differntly from High Times) that a group of smokers from southern Cali made it up(?) Dont know really, but ever since I can remember, we've been tokin on that day!! Very nice. My smokin times Here in Michigan the Hash Bash comes on the first Saturday in April. I celebrate then. Feel good.

*stRgrL* It is basically a rally for legalization. It is on the Diag at the College Campus in Ann Arbor. It is lots of fun, political speakers and vendors and lots of people all together for the same purpose. It is good times. There are also Rainbow gatherings that happen in different cities around the US that are pretty nifty. Peace!
