I dont know if anyone else has seen this great film, but i watched it last night and wandered if the virus thing could actually happen, i mean people are always finding new ways to kill people so why not a big virus that wipes out britain? http://www.foxinternational.com/28weekslater/ Plot Summary: Six months after the rage virus has annihilated the British Isles, the US Army declares that the war against infection has been won, and that the reconstruction of the country can begin. In the first wave of returning refugees, a family is reunited -- but one of them unwittingly carries a terrible secret. The virus is not yet dead, and this time, it is more dangerous than ever. There always biological warfare, but i doubt that would result would be zombies, just dead. A bit off topic, but you see the scene where Robert Carlye leaves his wife in the cottage hideout and proceed to run to river whilst the zombies are running behind him. If that was you, do you think you could make it to the boat???? I don't think i would be able to , i would give up very early in the run???
no that's what i thought last night, but i guess if your running for your life then you will try harder. i found it hard to belive that he would actually kiss his wife, all he had to do was look at her and realise somthing was wrong
I think that part was a bit predictable, how else would there be another outbreak??? I can't wait for the next one, i think the virus goes global!
i was hoping the kids bought it back with them, and they didnt find out in time, now see if kids did has they were told the death of hundreds of people wouldnt happen :bugeye:
It was fun, but full of plot holes, like: the US army giving a British Civilian full access to even the deepest quarantine units of its most protected military/medical reserach center. That was utter hogwash. ~String
Right, and even though they are totally paranoid about infection, they just let the guy in to give his wife a hug, even knowing that something odd is going on? And how the hell did she get there without the infected attacking her, anyway? But it was much better than I expected. Technically, they aren't zombies. Whatever you do, the graphic novel isn't worth buying for $15.
They're not zombies, they're virus-infected people. At least, they're never shown reanimating. And they would have torn her to shreds, wouldn't they? Just like they do in 28 Days Later. "The infected"
Exactly, they would have attacked her and killed her, not just infected her. So how'd she survive the farmhouse?
My point is, it's a plot hole, just like them letting him see the wife before they'd even got done testing her.
Which is a huge fucking plot hole. I work in a USGS genetics lab, which is pretty lax about security, as we don't have anything more hazards than flammable alcohols and carcinogens, all in relatively minute amounts. The locked doors are there for protocol, to keep people from fucking up our experiments, and to keep out those who want to "borrow" stuff. The janitor who has been working their for, oh, say, the past decade, has to knock to come in and clean up. There's no way in hell they'd give the fucking janitor a passcard to a level 4 biohazard containment facility. But then, that whole movie was parable for how much the US is fucking up in Iraq. Personally, I liked the first one better, for stylistic/story reasons. As for the condemnation of the military-industrial complex in zombie cinema, nothing beats Romero's Day of the Dead. But for really sweet eye-gouging gore, I liked it.
