View Full Version : 28 Weeks Later
Anyone else seen this newest zombie movie following the film 28 Days from a few years ago? Jesus Christ on a Stick! I was freaked out. I jumped and shrieked and even involuntarily snorted a couple times it was so scary! The metal soundtrack and the ZOMBIES, the in your face style of it all, I was impressed but once was enough. I was shaking in the car on the way home! And my blinds were CLOSED too when I got there! I even had to sleep with the bloody light on!
Anyway, it reminded me of Children of Men but with the zombie element. A link for those that haven't heard of it: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0463854/
Baron Max 05-14-07, 06:12 PM Anyone else seen this newest zombie movie following the film 28 Days from a few years ago?
Any extra money I have I use to help poor, hungry children of the world, not for my own selfish entertainment.

"Any extra money I have I use to help poor, hungry children of the world, not for my own selfish entertainment. "
How ironic - I use any extra money I have to molest the poor, hungry children of the world.

Don't be absurd. Those poor niggers and ragheads exist in such squalor so that I can live in luxury. Why would I want the status quo to change???

Baron MaxNot me. I see about one movie each weekend. Since you are without friends I should imagine your life would be desperately lonely.
Sigh. Anyone see 28 Weeks Later?

Why do you hate Jesus?
More importantly, since only one or two movies per three months are worth watching, why do you hate yourself?
Sigh. Anyone see 28 Weeks Later?
Awesome film, but anyone who has to sleep with a light on afterwords qualifies as a woman.
Great date movie, I loved all the scenes with eyes being pushed into someone's head. Makes me horny, you know?

There's no irony, Xev. I don't give my money to help the poor, hungry, little kids who've been molested. :D

Maybe that's part of your problem, Genji ....thinking that one needs "friends" to keep from being lonely. All it mean, Genji, is that you're dependent on someone else to make you happy. And ...if I may say so, that's sucks giant donkey dicks!

Baron MaxI loved 28 Weeks Later.
Ghost_007 05-14-07, 07:01 PM Hey, Genji and Baron Max.
Why don't you guys become friends? I'm sure you'd love each others company. You could then maybe go to the cinema together.

Because Genji hogs the popcorn and Baron Max expects a handjob if he pays?

There's a mental pic that has the capacity to bring on a silent scream.
They can always go dutch. That way Genji buys his own popcorn and Baron can fiddle himself.
Although those two becoming movie pals would be like a Milo and Otis adventure.
Hey, Genji and Baron Max.

Now that's an idea with the potential for a good comedy series.:D

True, if there wasn't $$$ to steal the USA would NEVER occupy/save a country that has disappeared basically. The nuking London scene was awesome and upsetting.

now i want to see "28 months later", set in moscow. :DI agree it was even better than the 1st. SPOILER! But this one ends with people running in Paris. I think that is the next one. I say skip Moscow and make it 28 Months Later: Shanghai!
The Devil Inside 05-17-07, 07:21 PM heh...
the version i watched was chopped into 6 parts...part 5 was missing, so i missed the nukes. :(
Stryder 05-17-07, 07:34 PM There were a few faults in the film if you analyse it with critical thinking, however they aren't that important since after all it is a fictional film.
Potential spoilers in white!!!
1: The scene where the outbreak is first noticed, a Military unit would have on site and be instructed to enter biosuits used in protecting them from biological diseases no matter whether they are air born or not.
2: Herding all the civillians into one place was an obvious flaw in logic, suggestibly the numbers would be split and placed into bio-sealed mobile units to await an evac. Each group would be accompanied by a set number of soldiers designated to protect them from either harm or doing things they aren't suppose to do.
3: Obviously buildings were never designed to protect against viral attacks, therefore such self-contained biologically sealed container units would be deployed to quarantine more than just a few. In essense if they don't have enough suits to protect or personnel it would mean placing them into the units.
4: When running as a group it would of made sense for the ground troops to yell "Put your hands on your head, keep moving but keep your hands on your head" This would of identified the rage victims that were obviously too busy chomping on everyone to concern themselves with a protocol. Those with hands on the head wouldn't be targeted by snipers.
5: American soldiers are notorious for never leaving a man behind, Dead or Alive. So they would hardly turn fire on their own.
I'm sure there are many others people spotted.
Other than that it was a bit of fun, ad if you haven't seen it I suggest the following:
Buy some "Bloodshot eye" contact lenses and some bloodcapsules that can be bitten to create foaming blood. Make sure you are wearing a torn t-shirt with fake bloodstains on, with a long sleeves shirt covering it.
At the end of the film, insert the contact lenses and bite the capsules, Take the longsleeves shirt off and tie it around your middle to expose the torn bloody shirt, then run/walk in a kind of rampant manner (without damaging anything) from the cinema, through the foyer and out of the cinema.
Make sure you have someone with a camera to take your snapshots as you come past.
The more of you conducting this "28 weeks later - In 3D" effect, the better!
Don't forget to post the video on your favourite home video network.

want to see a scary movie? watch charlie sheen in "major league".You didn't jump when they were at the old people's house at the start and they looked out the boarded windows when...
This was scary to me. I cared about the characters, it wasn't predictable and the jolting pace was electrifying. Everyone has had that bad dream of being relentlessly chased. 28 Weeks Later is true horror. Zombies freak me out. Working alone in a 60 year old building at night doesn't help.
The Devil Inside 05-18-07, 06:57 AM Zombies freak me out.
:)
i shared a house with 5 other folks once, and the first thing we did was "zombie proof" it. our house was a fortress, with a weapon within arm's reach wherever you went or sat.
we took zombies very seriously. we even had plans drawn out about where to get food, the best routes to take, and how to get back into the house once we left.
heh. LSD is fun.
