What happens when you lie to the American Public, Start and then Lose TWO wars and vote against providing low-income American CHILDREN with insurance (while happily providing companies like Cheney's UAE based Haillurton with $100s upon $100s upon $100s of billion of dollars). Why you get an approval rating at 24 percent

President Bush's approval rating has reached a new low in the newest Reuters/Zogby Poll -- with just 24 percent of those surveyed approving of Bush's job performance. That is down from 29 percent last month. It is lower than the latest register of Bush's approval rating in the Gallup Poll -- 32 percent in Gallup's newest October survey.

Here's something that I am sure will pull that 24% even lower.

Get this, Bush-in-the-Bubble "The Decider" decided to fire (read" resignation due to health) his counterterrorism chief, Adm. Scott Redd, head of the National Counterterrorism Center (NCTC), after Adm. Redd stated emphatically that the Iraq war has not made the United States safer from terrorism.

I hope Americans finally realize THIS is exactly what happens when you elect a corrupt Republican like someone from the Bush clan.

The Democrats are voting to pay for the wars. The wars are actually being won over there instead of by terrorists crashing planes in the US. Finally, a big spending bill for free health care which seems like a nice fat free meal. I guess there are enough adults who still believe in Santa Claus to be pissed at Bush for voting against the health care bill. We have a Democrat congress funding the wars you are beefing about. They're all just as dirty as the other. Don't delude yourself about that.

Ever hear the expression you play the cards you are dealt? At least with doofus and Darth Cheney out of there we'll have some confidence restored and even though we are screwed and have to pay for the war we can begin an ordered withdrawal.

Secondly, I find it odd that I get very good health care very cheap here in AU (everyone gets health care - free if you are too poor or unemployed) yet in the most powerful richest nation on the earth millions of CHILDREN can't see a doctor?!?!?

NOTE: The average health of Americans is lower than that of Cubans.

Why do you suppose that's the case desi???

Firstly lets not forget we are talking about children here. Secondly, every single person in Australia, New Zealand, etc.. etc.. gets health care. Its affordable here but not for just children in the USA? Jesus, what's wrong with ALL children getting some form of health coverage. We're not talking about braces or a nose job we're talking basic health care.

Sponsors of the bill have said Bush's claim last week that families making as much as $83,000 a year would qualify for the program are false and that the bill would discourage states from extending coverage to higher income families.

The people we have have kept the fuel supply consistent and have gained control of the region the fuel is flowing from. They have my confidence in their leadership. The American public is bogged down in white guilt and would never accept self interest as a reason for war for oil, at least until they missed a few meals.

Whoever taught you about health care in the US lied to you. I've never met a child who couldn't see a doctor whenever a parent wanted them to. Especially a poor child. If the US gets socialized medicine you will see stagnation around the world in the quality of healthcare because the US is where innovation happens.

I suppose you bought a bunch of nonsense from Michael Moore, hook line and sinker. Don't believe everything you see at the movies.

We're talking $9.50 per child per day to make sure ALL CHILDREN in the USA are given the basic coverage. Most people probably blow this much on coffee everyday.

    Lets put this into perspective:

I get free healthcare...and food...and housing. I live in the US off of ~$450 per month(from a SS check). With HBO. My mom has 6 other children who live with her...and her mom. Oh yes, I live in a townhouse(projects with a basement) now also. I don't think there's anything wrong with America' welfare/healthcare programs. At least not in the commonwealth states.

That's because you are on SS, I'm referring to people who work but can not afford health care. Thus they usually either (A) get a marriage of convince or (B) quite their job and get on SS. It's CRAZY to force people out of work because of health care - counter productive as well.

Perhaps they shouldn't have children then. I mean, if you can't afford to care for children, why should you have them? And if one decides to have children, and "the people" aren't part of that decision, then why should "the people" be forced to pay for those kids?

    Why?
    a) because we live in a society.
    b) punish the children for the fault of their parents being poor? Is that what Amercia has come to?
    c) sometimes people loss their benefits.
    d) the same rational could be used in regards to K-12 schooling. Perhaps only the rich should have school. The rest can just be illiterate and work as slaves for the rich.

Building a great society there Baron,

Perhaps we should really look at who should be paying for insurances. The companies that people work at should be the ones who pay their employees whatever insurances they need in order for their employees to work for them to make that company the profits it recieves for those employees work.

What's a "society"? Is that something that forces people to do what you say? Is that something that forces people to take care of people who can't or don't pull their share of the load? What is "society"?

A "great society" is one that steals from some to pay for others? A "great society" is one that forces people to do what they don't want to do? ...all in the name of "great society"? ...and all of it designed by bleeding-heart, liberal doo-gooders?

Are you saying you can budget $300 a month out of your pay check in taxes to pay your fair share for the insurance of a poor child?

What should be done is that businesses should be paying their own employees insurance premiums instead of the taxpayers having to.

    ummm...

He can't run in the next election. He's had his two terms, and so it's off to Crawford, TX for His Imperial Deciderizing Chimpanzicalness for a grand ol' retirement, and not a moment too soon...!
