Its not because African Americans are in anyway unpatriotic , African Americans afterall have served bravely in all US wars .

And its not because African Americans are concerned about the lying from the Bush Junta , as African Americans are used to being deceived from every Presidential administration .

It's because African Americans know who winds up on the front lines.

My favorite African American GI was Benjamin Buford Blue -- people called him Bubba though.. just like one of those redneck boys. Can you imagine that?

Now Im a German-English-American Indian American and I fully support this war.

You didn't give the important part of the story. Who was asked? Which group of African Americans was surveyed here?

Exactly, that's a critical question. Has every single African-American been surveyed about their opinion on the war? Also, were they all surveyed at the same time, so it's assured that the surveyees don't change their mind? The site says 109 out of 109 African-Americans oppose the war in Iraq. Hell, for all we know they could have interviewed 109 black soldiers in Iraq who are living hell right now.

Well that would at least dispell some of the stuff heard by the White House about troop moral levels being high.

I'm as opposed to this war as anyone, but I don't think your statement is correct. Just look at any photos from the war. Better yet, the Washington Post prints photos of all the troops who die in Iraq every couple of months. Black people make up about twelve percent of our population, and I certainly don't find that black faces make up much more than twelve percent of the casualties.

Great so I imagine you will be joining up for the Iranian bloodfest .
Oh I think I was being sarcastic with the thread James , polls are polls .
The poll is not the concern , I am just pointing out what is clearly evident towards the war in Iraq .
I dont know , all I know is that enlistment is being fueled by the unemployment ques , in other words Black or White working class are the ones dying .

In other words you have backtracked on every statement you made and this is just another redundant post by Brian Foley. Cool.

And that shows just how much you know about America. A very large percentage of the soldiers arereservists - and that's mostly guys/gals with jobs.

Although someone did (apparently seriously) suggest on this thread that going into the military is a good way to get a free higher education.
